Steve Bannon, the right-wing podcast host and former Donald Trump campaign staffer, held a press conference following his release from prison. Bannon claimed he had been “a political prisoner” under what he called the “Merrick Garland, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi regime” for standing by his beliefs. Bannon, who served four months, claimed they intended to “close the war room” and “break” him, but declared he is now “far from broken” and feels more “empowered.”
