Rayo Vallecano will bid to book their place in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they tackle the sixth-tier outfit Villamuriel Tuesday evening.

The visitors will enter the competition on the back of a 1-0 win Alaves Saturday, where the result moved them up to ninth place in La Liga tablewhile Villamuriel recorded a 5-0 win over Rayo Abulense in Spain’s sixth tier last time out.

We say: Villamuriel 0-3 Rayo Vallecano

Rayo will rest a number of key players on Tuesday, but we find it incredibly difficult to predict anything other than a comfortable success for the La Liga outfit, who should have far too much quality all over the pitch.

La Liga strugglers Alaves will aim to book their place in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they travel to the fourth-tier outfit Compostela Tuesday evening.

Alaves come into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano, which left them 16th. La Liga tablewhile Compostela played 0-0 against Real Aviles in the Segunda RFEF on Saturday.

We say: Compostela 0-2 Alaves

Alaves were beaten by a fourth-tier side at this stage of the 2019-20 competition, but we struggle to see a defeat for the La Liga outfit here, even considering their struggles in Spain’s top flight.

Real Valladolid will aim to avoid a shock first-round elimination in the Copa del Rey when they tackle the sixth-tier outfit Astur Tuesday evening.

The visitors come into the match after a 2-1 home defeat to Villarrealwhich left them in 19th place in the La Liga tablewhile Astur drew 3-3 with sixth-placed Union Comercial on Saturday.

We say: Astur 0-2 Real Valladolid

Astur is not used to losing football matches at the moment, while Real Valladolid is struggling to pick up positive results. It could be a close game in terms of the scoreline on Tuesday night, but we’d be stunned if Real Valladolid weren’t the team to progress to the second round when the game is over.

Villarreal will aim to book their place in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they take on the fifth-tier outfit Poblense in the first round of the competition on Tuesday evening.

The yellow submarine come into the match on the back of a 2-1 success over Real Valladolid, with the result moving them into third place in La Liga tablewhile Poblense beat Portmany 2-1 in the fifth tier on Saturday.

We say: Poblense 0-4 Villarreal

Villarreal have been full of goals this season and that should be the case again on Tuesday night. Yellow Submarine head coach Marcelino will rest a number of key players, but the La Liga side should have far too much quality for their opponents.
