Former Steelers’ wideout traded to division rival

OWINGS MILLS, (Md.) – The Baltimore Ravens have agreed in principle to acquire former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dionte Johnson in a trade with the Carolina Panthers.

Baltimore also receives a 2025 sixth-round draft pick in the deal.

In return, Carolina receives a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.

This season, Johnson has piled up 30 catches for 357 yards and three touchdowns in seven games with the Panthers.

Johnson was traded to Carolina last March in a deal that brought cornerback Donte Jackson to Pittsburgh.

He spent his first five NFL seasons with the Steelers, catching 391 passes for 4,363 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Johnson was originally selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Toledo.
