Actress Salma Hayek revealed this week that she does not have a prenuptial agreement to divide assets between herself and her mega-billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault, but told The Wall Street Journal she is on a mission to make her own fortune and feels under “pressure to make a certain amount of money.”

Key facts

Hayek, 58, married her husband Pinault, 62, in 2009 after three years of dating and was instantly catapulted into the world of the ultra-rich (Pinault heads luxury group Kering and is worth more than $20 billion).

The couple have a daughter together, 17-year-old Valentina, and keep their finances separate, Hayek told the Wall Street Journal Magazine.

The actress said she has no deal with Pinault and works to support “a lot of aspects of my life and myself,” with an ambition to make more money going forward, which her husband finds “kind of sexy.”
