Dallas man arrested for alleged involvement in Natchitoches shooting

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KSLA) – The Dallas shooting suspect, a 42-year-old man, was found hiding in the back of a truck and arrested.

On August 9, at approximately 7:41 p.m., the Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers provided medical aid to the victim until first responders arrived. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Caddo Parish for further treatment.

After speaking with several witnesses at the scene, this information led NPD to suspect that Aldrick Edwards, a 42-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was the suspect.
