Of all the advent calendars I’ve had, this one is definitely the most luxurious. From the moment I unboxed it I was blown away by the quality of the packaging as it’s made from really sturdy materials which means it can be kept and reused for storage.

As a Charlotte Tilbury customer, I had high hopes for the advent calendar and it lived up to many expectations – although there were a few products that were definitely missing. Namely: Flawless Filter.

I was a little disappointed to see that most of the products came in mini format, which isn’t entirely unexpected, but it would be nice if some of the lip products came in full-size versions.

£170 is a lot for an advent calendar, but I would say it is good value for money considering the products you get – especially for Charlotte Tilbury fans. If you want to try out the brand’s range of products, this is also a great option.

First impressions

What first struck me was how heavy the advent calendar was. For a small box, it was surprisingly heavy, which really built up anticipation for what might be inside.

When I took the heart-shaped advent calendar out of the box, I was surprised by its quality and how beautiful it was. The shiny, deep red casing is covered in delicate red and gold stars, with 12 drawers decorated with metal and transparent heart and star handles.

Each zipper slides out smoothly and the product fits perfectly inside, which means the entire box is safe.

The top of the container also has a lid so it can be reused as a cosmetics storage solution after December 25th.

What will you find in the Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar?

Unlike many other calendars available on the market, the Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar only has 12 days, not 25, which guarantees high quality products, but it may not be the right choice for someone who wants something sweet every day before Christmas.

Each of the 12 drawers contains an iconic product that many of us know and love. Only three of the products are full-size, which I don’t mind since the travel sizes are perfect for travel, but with only 12 treats, I was hoping that about half would be full-size.

No matter the size, an advent calendar is the perfect balance between skincare and makeup. Many products on the market tend to overdo one and forget the other, whereas Charlotte Tilbury’s Love Chest offers a full range of options.

From a 15ml jar of viral Magic Cream to a full-size Beauty Light Wand, I was impressed with what was hiding under each drawer.

As I mentioned, I’m a regular customer at Charlotte Tilbury, so I was excited to see my favorite products there.

I love the Lip Cheat lip liner and the Matte Revolution lipstick (both in the shade Pillow Talk – of course), so I was thrilled to see them both in the case.

I had been dying to try the Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, so I was super excited when I finally found a way to do so.

Other products included in the advent calendar include: Hyaluronic Happikiss lipstick (full size), Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir (full size), Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes mascara (4 ml), Pillow Talk eyeliner (travel size), Hollywood Beauty Icon lipstick (travel size), Glow Toner (30 ml) and Magic Serum Crystal Elixir (8 ml).

Sadly, there was no fan favorite: Flawless Filter. I was convinced that a little bottle of goodness would be available, but it was nowhere to be found – which makes sense, since everyone has a different shade, so it would be hard to accommodate different requirements.

Even though the advent calendar only has 12 drawers, I think the variety of products combined with the undeniable quality of each cosmetic make it a must-have for beauty lovers.

The Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar may be pricey at £170, but it’s worth a total of £243, so you’ll save £73.

I think if you are interested in cosmetics in general and want to test a wider range of products, this product may not be for you. However, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves.

The impeccable quality and finish of the crate is undeniable and will make a wonderful gift for someone special in your life. Not only will they be able to enjoy all of the products, but they can also keep the crate to store their treats later.

I would say the packaging alone is worth the price as there are other manufacturers on the market who skimp on this aspect and it affects the overall experience.
