Urfi Javed’s ‘Follow Kar Lo Yaar’ is currently streaming on Prime Video.

Urfi Javed has carved a niche for herself with her social media presence and unconventional fashion sense.

Internet personality and reality star Uorfi Javed, who has been receiving positive reviews for her reality show ‘Follow Kar Lo Yaar’, has stated that social media is by design a place full of noise and is not suitable for people seeking peace and quiet.

Uorfi told IANS that social media is a place where people can express their opinions and selves and these expressions are rarely conveyed in a “calm” manner.

The social media star told IANS, “Aap chaahte ho ki baarish bhi ho par aapko bheegna nahi hai, aisa toh ho nahi sakta na? (You want rain but don’t want to get soaked, that’s not how it works, right?).”

Uorfi has carved out a niche for herself with her social media presence and unconventional fashion sense. She knows how social media and algorithms work.

“Social media is a place where people from all walks of life come together, it’s a common ground for people from all over the world to express themselves. It’s a crowded medium and where there’s a crowd, there’s going to be noise, that’s how it works in any system. So if you’re someone who’s looking for peace or a meditative state of mind on social media, you’re wrong and you’re hurting yourself. There are other places where you can find peace, but definitely not social media,” she added.

Meanwhile, her OTT show Follow Kar Lo Yaar documents her daily life and interactions with her family. Her show has been compared to the American reality show The Kardashians.

Asked about her plans to act in films, Uorfi told IANS that she enjoys appearing in reality shows and would like her career to evolve in the same direction.
