Jayson Tatum and the Celtics will likely be focused on defending their title in the upcoming 2024-25 season, but Boston fans looking to relive last year’s title should log onto Netflix on October 9.

On Tuesday, Netflix released the first full trailer for “Starting 5,” a new sports docuseries that focuses on the day-to-day lives of five NBA stars during the 2023-24 season.

Tatum is one of five basketball stars to appear in the docuseries, alongside LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards and Domantas Sabonis.

“Starting Five” will be a 10-part series — each episode will be 45 minutes long — that will follow all five players both on and off the court over the past year. It will follow a similar format to other popular Netflix series centered on sports stars, such as NFL-set “Quarterback” and “Receiver,” as well as F1-focused “Drive to Survive.”

You can watch the first official trailer for “Starting 5” below.

Tatum and the show’s other five stars were given equal screen time in the trailer, which featured each player using a microphone while on the court.

“You’ve never seen anything like this,” Tatum says in the trailer, which is interspersed with commentary from all five stars.

In addition to the basketball, the series will also focus on each player’s life off the court. The trailer features Tatum’s mother, Brandy Cole, and his six-year-old son, Jayson “Deuce” Tatum Jr.

Other highlights include LeBron James dressed as Beetlejuice, Anthony Edwards singing into the camera, Jimmy Butler’s surprise hairdo during a photoshoot in Miami, and more.

And yes, it looks like the series will end with Tatum and his team securing their coveted championship — in one shot, the Celtics are seen popping champagne in the TD Garden locker room.

“It may be a game to you, but it’s my life,” Tatum notes.

The first episode of “Starting 5,” produced by Maverick Carter, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Peyton Manning, will be released on October 9.
