Drexel Theatre Announces Mack Glasgow as New Theatre Director

The Drexel Theatre has named Mack Glasgow its new theatre director.

Glasgow has worked at Drexel for eight years, including as operations manager and assistant director. He has served as interim director since May 2024. During his tenure at Drexel, he has been involved in every aspect of the theater’s operations and has helped keep the theater afloat during the global pandemic.

Glasgow is a long-time Bexley resident and a 2012 graduate of Bexley High School.

Brett Reiter, director of Cinema Columbus, will work with Glasgow and the Drexel staff as a creative consultant.

“Mack has done an extraordinary job leading Drexel since May and has demonstrated a great interest and capacity to expand the programming and community engagement that is so important to Drexel’s success,” said CAPA President and CEO Chad Whittington. “I have every confidence in our ability to move toward the long-term goals and aspirations we have for Drexel Theatre.”

“Mack’s experience and passion for Drexel Theatre make him uniquely suited for this role, and I am excited about the future of the theatre with Mack at the helm,” said Jennifer Nelson Carney, chairwoman of the Drexel board.

“I enjoy interacting with and getting to know the Drexel patrons, and I always enjoy discussing and debating the films they come to see,” Glasgow said. “I look forward to working with new and existing community partners on events, special screenings and programming at the theater.”
