Anees Bazmee Opens Up On Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 And Singham Again Clash: “The Appetite Is Enough…”

Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again made headlines after their release clash. Both the films are set to release on Diwali this year. Recently, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Anees Bazmee reacted and mentioned that he hopes that the audience will watch both the films.

Pinkvilla quoted him as saying, “As a film buff, I hope people watch both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again on the big screen. It’s the festive season and there is enough appetite to consume both the films. Ajay (Devgn), Rohit (Shetty), Akshay (Kumar) and everyone from Singham Again are very good friends, more like brothers as I have worked with them at some point in my career. Clashes have happened in the past and will happen in the future.”

In this context, in a statement on Instagram, Bazmee expressed that he is “thrilled” with the box office clash and is looking forward to both the films doing exceptionally well. He also mentioned that as a director, he does not let business discussions interfere with his creative process.

The filmmaker wrote, “Some media people are misinterpreting my statement. As a filmmaker with over three decades of experience, my focus is on creating compelling stories and not getting caught up in the dynamics of a film release/business. I have seen many films do well despite releasing on the same day. Looks like my words got lost in translation! Let me rephrase that: I am excited about both Singham 3 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Two amazing films, two talented teams. Let’s do it together (sic).”

The director, who is teaming up with Kartik again for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, said the new film will be different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Anees promised that it will be “much better, bigger, more fun and engaging” compared to the earlier film, as quoted by HT. Speaking to News 24, he said, “We have tried to take the game a notch higher with this film, be it in terms of storyline or use of visual effects. It has been made on a much bigger scale.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. The film marks the return of Vidya Balan to the franchise and also stars Madhuri Dixit. This time Kartik is paired with Triptii Dimri.

As for Singham Again, the film is directed by Rohit Shetty. While Ajay Devgn is the star of the film, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
