Pastor Adeboye’s post has shocked many Nigerians who believe that clergy have a hard time talking about romantic matters in public. He also advised them to give each other names to keep their homes alive.

Adeboye said:

“The fact that you are a Christian does not in any way take away the romance of your marriage. Marriage is the only institution in which romance and intimacy are permitted between a man and a woman.

He then continued:

“Some pastors rarely date their spouses because they feel that such romantic activity distracts them from spiritual matters. Some of them don’t even have fun with their spouses anymore. Beloved, the anointing does not reduce the need for romance in marriage.”
