Nakuru woman says her husband disappeared after marriage 10 years ago: ‘I am still waiting for him’

A Nakuru woman has spoken of the turbulent times she has faced over the past ten years since her husband mysteriously disappeared in February 2014.

Samuel Mwaura disappeared in February 2014 after leaving his home for what he described as a group meeting and never returned.

In an interview with Simon Kibe on Jamba TV, his wife explained that she and the man had only been married for a few months when he mysteriously disappeared a little over a decade ago.

“We got married in September 2013, and he disappeared in 2014. That day, he left home to meet what he told me was a boor, but he never came back. I tried calling him. He called, but no one answered. His phone had been completely disconnected since 10 p.m. that day,” said his wife Ann Wanjiku.

Wanjiku said he reported the matter to the police, who even tried to trace his number, but to no avail.

“We received reports of bodies found and went to identify them, but none of them were his,” she added.

It’s been 10 years since Mwaura’s disappearance, which Wanjiku says put her life on hold.

“Our marriage was new and we had no problems. I have no children and I have never remarried. If he can watch this, please come home because I have been through a lot since you disappeared four months after our wedding,” she added with tears in her eyes.
