Arrest Made In Attempted Murder Case In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Authorities have arrested 44-year-old Travis Maynor in connection with an Aug. 20 shooting in the Northwest District.

The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Patterson Avenue, where Maynor allegedly shot the 28-year-old victim multiple times. Detectives identified Maynor as the shooter during the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant on Sept. 4.

Maynor was located and arrested Sept. 17 at a residence in the 300 block of Gwynn Avenue without incident. After his arrest, he was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Northwest District officers were initially notified of the shooting at approximately 10:06 p.m. on August 20. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was later transported to a local hospital for treatment.

  • Two students arrested after assault at Sussex Technical High School

    Georgetown, DE – A 16-year-old Georgetown student and a 16-year-old Seaford student were arrested after an assault at Sussex Technical High School. The incident occurred last Tuesday around 2:00 p.m.

    A Delaware State Police trooper on duty at the school located at 17099 County Seat Highway in Georgetown was notified by school personnel about a reported assault.

    The investigation revealed that during an argument during a vocational class, one student swung a sharp metal file at another. In retaliation, the second student threw a sharp metal file, striking the first student in the face and causing injuries.

    One suspect turned himself in Wednesday to Troop 4. He was charged with second-degree assault (a felony), arraigned in Magistrate Court 2, and released on his own recognizance to a parent.

    The second suspect also turned himself in to Troop 4 on Wednesday. He was charged with uttering criminal threats (a felony), arraigned before Magistrate Court No. 2 and released on his own recognizance to a parent.

  • 12-year-old boy arrested for breaking and entering at St. John’s University

    NEW YORK — New York Police have arrested three people in connection with a break-in at St. John’s University in Queens as part of an ongoing investigation into the Aug. 20, 2024, incident, authorities said.

    On September 18, 2024, a 12-year-old male was arrested and charged with burglary, third-degree burglary, and possession of stolen property. Earlier on September 3, a 17-year-old male was also arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, and third-degree trespassing.

    Additionally, on August 23, Emanuel Yakubov, 25, of Queens, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, third-degree trespassing and fifth-degree possession of stolen property.

    The arrests follow a break-in that occurred on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., when two unidentified males unlawfully entered the grounds of St. John’s University located at 168-10 Goethals Avenue.

    The suspects took various items and fled the scene on a moped, traveling west on Union Turnpike. No injuries were reported.

    Police are still searching for additional suspects in connection with the break-in and are asking the public for help in identifying those pictured in the attached media. The investigation is ongoing.
