POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – On September 21, the Festival of the Sea will take over downtown Point Pleasant Beach from 10 am to 7 pm, offering a day filled with local food, over 250 craft vendors, and lively entertainment.

With a beer and wine garden, live music, and plenty of family-friendly activities, this event promises fun for all ages.

Located along Arnold Avenue, the festival is free to attend, with a rain date set for September 22. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, the Festival of the Sea offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy great food and explore the charm of Point Pleasant Beach.

    BALTIMORE, MD – Baltimore Police Department detectives are requesting assistance from the public regarding a homicide that took place on September 17 in the 400 block of Bloom Street, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Michael Simms.

    Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-396-2100. The information gathered could aid in advancing the ongoing investigation.

    For individuals preferring to remain anonymous, tips can be submitted via the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCKUP or through their website. Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $8,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.

  • Brick Township to hold community cleanup at Breton Woods on September 28

    BRICK, NJ — Mayor Lisa Crate, the Township Council, and the Brick Township Environmental Commission are inviting residents to join them for a community cleanup event at Breton Woods on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 am to 2 pm

    Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of Osbornville Elementary School on Drum Point Road. Several local organizations, including the Trust for Public Lands, Kiwanis Club of Brick, Ocean University Medical Center Sustainability Staff, Brick Open Space Savers (BOSS) Committee, Save Breton Woods, and NJ Natural Gas, are expected to participate.

  • Warrant Arrest Leads to Detention of Wilkes-Barre Ma

    WILKES-BARRE, PA – Authorities in Wilkes-Barre took a local man into custody early Friday morning following a routine traffic stop that revealed an outstanding warrant.

    At approximately 12:49 AM on Friday, officers executed a traffic stop near South Main Street and Public Square. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Renard Johnson, 61, from Wilkes-Barre, was found to have an active arrest warrant.

    The warrant for Johnson had been issued by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office. Following protocol, the officers detained Johnson on the spot.

    Johnson was subsequently transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF) for processing.
