“If the reports about Mark Robinson are a complete media fabrication, he should take legal action immediately,” Tillis said in a Friday post on X.

“If the reports are true, he owes it to President Trump and all Republicans to take responsibility for their actions and put the future of North Carolina and our party first,” he said.

Tillis’ statement came after Robinson posted a video on social media in which he denied his involvement in the scandal and vowed to remain in the race for governor of the Old North State.

“I’ll tell you what you’re going to see in this story are not Mark Robinson’s words. You know my words, you know my character, and you know I’ve been completely transparent in this race and before. People, in this race, our opponents are desperate to distract from the real issues and focus on what you care about, the dirty trap, the tabloid trash,” X said in the video.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Robinson campaign for comment.

In comments to CNN, Robinson said it was “not us.”

“It’s not us. It’s not our words. And it’s not anything that’s specific to me,” Robinson said. “I’m not going to get into the details of how someone manufactured this, these licentious tabloid lies.”

In a Thursday afternoon report, CNN accused Robinson of previously using a pornographic website called “Nude Africa.”

On the porn site, Robinson allegedly sent messages to other users about spying on women in locker rooms as a teenager, describing himself as a “black NAZI” and declaring a preference for transgender pornography. The candidate involvement lasted from 2008 to 2012, according to CNN, well before Robinson entered the political arena in 2019.

In another post from 2010, CNN reported that Robinson allegedly stated, “I am a black Nazi!”, commenting on the actions of black Republicans.
