Brick Township Expects Tidal Flooding All Weekend Here’s What You Need to Know

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Moderate tidal flooding is expected through Sunday in Brick Township, prompting officials to issue a coastal flood warning and coastal flood warning. The warning is in effect through Friday night, and the flood warning covers Saturday and Sunday.

Residents in flood-prone areas are advised to move their vehicles to higher ground to avoid potential damage. Several locations have been designated for this purpose.

Designated parking areas include Angela Hibbard Park, Edmund Hibbard Park, Windward Beach Park, Midstreams School and an additional parking lot across from Brick Beach III on Route 35.

Authorities are appealing to residents to take necessary precautions and monitor weather forecasts to stay up to date with the flood situation.

  • Baltimore Police Arrest Three Juveniles in Robbery Case

    Baltimore, MD – Eastern District officers responded to a report of an unarmed robbery on Guilford Avenue. The incident, which involved a group of five juvenile males, occurred Monday at approximately 6:52 p.m.

    Upon arrival, officers met with the 26-year-old victim. The victim reported that he was robbed of his personal items before the suspects fled the scene in a stolen black van.

    After reviewing surveillance footage and providing suspect descriptions, officers located three minors. The suspects, aged between 12 and 15, were detained.

    The juveniles were taken to Juvenile Booking for a custody check by the Department of Juvenile Services. They were later released to their guardians. One of the suspects, a 15-year-old, was being monitored by GPS at the time of the robbery due to a prior arrest for robbery.

    The primary goal of the initiative was to enforce speed limits and ensure the safety of workers in the area. State police urged drivers to slow down and pay attention in construction zones, emphasizing the presence of family members who work along the roads.

    Operation Hard Hat is part of an ongoing effort to increase awareness and safety compliance in construction zones.   • Dutchess Sheriff’s Office Investigates Social Media Threats Made to Local School

    Poughkeepsie, NY – On Wednesday, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a potential threat of violence against Dutchess BOCES. The alert was posted on social media and forwarded to school officials, who then notified the School Resource Officer, a deputy sheriff.

    At approximately 9 a.m., multiple Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the school to secure the area and ensure the safety of students and staff while the threat was being investigated. Early indications are that the post was a repost of a previously circulated threat that did not specifically mention Dutchess BOCES. This repost has been widely shared in recent weeks.

    The investigation, in conjunction with the school district, is ongoing. At this time, officials do not consider the threat credible. No suspects have been identified and the school community remains safe.
