There is an unspoken agreement among fashion writers and editors that changing outfits between fashion shows is a no-no. (Recently, when asked if it is appropriate to change outfits between shows, Lynn Yaeger replied: Fashion(“No, I’m not an influencer. That’s for a stupid person. That’s not for an adult. No, no. Stupid!”) For many people, this means that the person changing outfits has nothing better to do than go back to their hotel and freshen up their look — no “real” job to juggle, no laptop to lug around.

Dakota Johnson and Daisy Edgar-Jones, with their shared runway experience, seem to have jumped on this industry taboo. Yesterday, after Sabato De Sarno presented Gucci’s spring 2025 collection, they were among the attendees at an after-party in Milan. But instead of making a sartorial U-turn, they decided to rework some elements of their show looks.

Johnson stuck with her oversized black croc-embossed leather blazer, although she swapped out her sheer resort 2025 dress covered in daisy appliqués. She kept the sheer theme going with a black monogram bodysuit, which she paired with a loose pair of wide-leg blue jeans.

Edgar-Jones also showed up in a resort 2025 look: a white crochet bra, cardigan, and shorts set, which she wore with brown horsebit ballet flats and a large brown bag. The actress ditched her summer shorts for the festival, opting instead for light, straight-leg jeans and a black logo belt. She also swapped the large bag for a small black shoulder bag.

With so many full runway looks hitting the front rows during fashion week, watching VIP guests have fun with their outfits certainly helps make a strong case for changing things up between events. In the case of Dakota Johnson and Daisy Edgar-Jones, we’ll allow it!
