Nicola Coughlan and Hannah Dodd Reunite in ‘Bridgertons’ at Gucci Show

Dearest reader — it looks like the two most popular Birdgertons have reunited in the name of Italian fashion.

In other words, Nicola Coughlan and Hannah Dodd had a blissful reunion on Saturday, September 20, during Milan Fashion Week at the Gucci spring/summer 2025 show. The fashion week event was star-studded — Dodd and Coughlan sat alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Dakota Johnsons, to name a few.

Ladies from Bridgerton were in outfits that were a far cry from the lavish gowns and corsets of the Netflix series. Dodd, who plays Francesca Bridgerton, and Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington (now Birdgerton), looked chic in their finest Gucci ensembles, evoking equal parts casual and sophisticated. The actors sat side by side and in the front row, looking as cozy as on-screen sisters-in-law would look, holding hands and smiling gently.

Coughlan and Dodd had matching colors, but Dodd opted for an ultra-feminine white long-sleeved dress tied with a bow at the neckline. She covered the dress with a brown suede poncho, which was perfect for the upcoming fall weather. Walking the red carpet, Coughlan wore oversized square sunglasses, a cherry red Gucci bag, and green embellished heels.

Dodd was more dressed up for the show — channeling a casual, cool-girl look from jeans to beach waves. She paired loose denim with an oversized white button-down shirt, worn off the shoulders and revealing a row of pearls around her neck. She carried a brown handbag and walked in pointy heels.

Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno joined the historic Italian fashion house in 2023, looking to reinvent ready-to-wear without reinventing the wheel. The deep red runway was the perfect setting for models to showcase a collection that combined quiet luxury with extravagance. Mark Ronson, Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Chastain and more were among the many celebrities who lined the lines of onlookers.
