Nebraska fans celebrated a historic milestone during Friday’s loss to Illinois. The Huskers’ loyal fans celebrated the 400th sellout of Memorial Stadium, a streak that began Nov. 3, 1962, against Missouri.

Before losing to Illinois on Friday night, Nebraska had won every major sold-out game. In 1979, when the Cornhuskers beat Penn State 42-17 in a sold-out No. 100 game, No. 2 Colorado 24-7, in 1994 in a sold-out No. 200 game and Louisiana-Lafayette 55-0, in 2009 in their 300th consecutive sold-out game.

It’s been an eventful two years for Nebraska’s home court. Last season, the Huskers celebrated the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium. During that series, the Huskers have a 324-76 record at Memorial Stadium.

The Cornhuskers are 3-1 on the season after Friday’s loss. They will now travel to face the Purdue Boilermakers. The game is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. CT and will air on Peacock.
