Game Updates, Week 4 Live Score

Week four of the college football season wraps up with one of the most anticipated games on the 2024 schedule: No. 14 Oklahoma versus No. 7 Tennessee.

The two undefeated teams in the top 25 will tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday. It is the first SEC game of the season for both teams and the first ever for the Sooners, who joined the conference in the offseason from the Big 12.

One of the biggest stories from Saturday’s game is Tennessee coach Josh Heupel’s return to Oklahoma. The former Sooners quarterback, who led Oklahoma to a national title in 2000, returns to Norman for the first time since being fired as OU’s offensive coordinator in 2014.

Tennessee vs Oklahoma Predictions

Tennessee 41, Oklahoma 24: “While Oklahoma is clearly the best team Tennessee has seen in 2024, I buy what I saw from the Vols. They are entering a hostile environment under a freshman quarterback and emerging as not only SEC title contenders, but national championship contenders as well.” – Colin Lynch of College Football Network

Tennessee 34, Oklahoma 20: “OU’s offense has gone at least four straight without scoring a touchdown in every game this season. That can’t happen Saturday if the team wants to keep up with quarterback Nico Iamaleava and the Volunteers, who rank first in the nation in points per game (63.7). Wide receiver Nic Anderson could make his Sooners debut, which would be a huge boost. But OU still doesn’t have much of a running game, and its weakened offensive line will have trouble holding off Tennessee’s elite defensive line, led by James Pearce Jr. The Volunteers will win this one.” -Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman

Tennessee 34, Oklahoma 20: “The deciding matchup will likely be the Vols’ fearsome defense against Oklahoma’s revamped but battered offensive line. I can’t imagine the Sooners overcoming that.” — John Adams of the Knoxville News Sentinel
