Is Amy Nuttall’s marriage to cheating husband Andrew Buchan on the brink of collapse again? The actress gets rid of her wedding ring a day after their 12th anniversary

Amy Nuttall has sparked speculation that her marriage to unfaithful husband Andrew Buchan is again in trouble.

The 42-year-old Emmerdale actress ditched her wedding ring and got married on Saturday, the day after their 12th wedding anniversary, amid a flurry of emotion.

Amy has already taken back Andrew, 45, for a third time – despite him leaving her last year to move in with his Better co-star Leila Farzad.

In the photos, obtained by The Sun, the Downton Abbey star looked casual in a blue quilted jacket, which she teamed with jeans, but she was missing the ring.

MailOnline has contacted Amy and Andrew’s representatives for comment.

Amy and Andrew first split in December 2022, when Andrew left her for his Better co-star Leila. The affair became public in February 2023.

However, just weeks later, Leila returned to her husband James Maizels, while Andrew left to be with his family. According to The Sun, the actor told a friend: “We’re healing.”

In July, reports emerged that Amy had imposed seven strict rules on her husband to follow upon their reunion in a bid to rekindle their relationship.

The seven rules included full access to each other’s phones, date nights once a week and a joint vacation every seven months.

According to a report in The Sun, Amy apparently demanded weekly dates because they followed Rule 777, which means full access to each other’s phones and no contact with other stars outside of work.

It was reported that Andrew will need to keep in touch via FaceTime even when he is working away from home.

“Nobody thought they would make it, but Amy decided to try again,” the insider said.

(Amy) doesn’t want to give up over a decade of their life together, but at the same time, she’s not an easy target.

“They’ll use the 777 method, which means every seven days you go on a date, every seven weeks you go on a one-night stand, and every seven months you go on a vacation just the two of you.”

The 777 approach is based on three principles, the last of which is that their work should be treated on an equal basis, the release said.

Speculation that Amy and Andrew were back together arose in June when Andrew was seen leaving the family home wearing a gold wedding ring.

Amy was spotted around the same time on the property without a ring, but those close to the woman suggested they were going to try again.

A source close to the couple told The Sun: “Understandably, Amy was devastated when she found out about the betrayal and wanted a clean break and a fresh start.

But Andrew came back to her and promised he would change.

“They are working through their issues and trying to put the love triangle behind them for the good of their families.”

The couple reconciled, but the former Emmerdale star is reported to have split from him again in August 2023 when he failed to follow the seven marriage rules she set out to help rebuild their marriage.

‘Gutted’ Amy is said to have then ended their 11-year marriage and thrown him out of the family home they shared with their two children.

The couple were initially thought to be separated, as Amy allegedly filed for a divorce from her husband Andrew in March last year, just weeks after news of their split broke, but her wishes have apparently changed.

Following their second split in August last year, an insider told The Sun: “Amy had a hard time giving her marriage a second chance but she felt it was worth taking one last chance.”

“There is no indication that he cheated on her again, but for her it’s over.”

Amy rose to fame for her role as Chloe Atkinson in Emmerdale from 2000 to 2005 and as maid Ethel Parks in Downton Abbey from 2011 to 2012.

He will soon be seen on screens in a new six-part series of The Feud on Channel 5, in which families argue dramatically over building permits on their street.
