From treating your beloved daughters to their favorite chocolates, cakes and waffles available in numerous restaurants, to visiting shopping malls and buying clothes – everything your heart desires is happening in the city.

My daughters, my favorites

Anjali Sharma, an HR professional and a resident of Aliganj, says, “As a working mom, these are the days when we come together and appreciate our blessings. Our daughters (Sanaya and Sayona) mean the world to me and my husband. It’s the time for their exams, so we decided to have a small family celebration with a family dinner and a surprise order for their favorite delicacies, which will be delivered every hour in the afternoon. This way, they will receive various gifts by 8 pm. We hope they will simply love our idea and enjoy their day.”

Offers galore

Founder and Director of Danbro by Mr Brown, Tanushree Gupta, says that following on from the success of Teachers’ Day earlier this month, this time she has prepared a special offer.

“We have distributed 10,000 coupons to various schools and colleges, which can be used at our nine sales points. This enables them to get pizza worth 125 in 60 and a pudding worth 60 is free with us. Plus we have designer cakes depending on age, because your daughter can be any age!” says Gupta.

Arti Vaid organised a Whipping Up Waffles and Memories drive on the occasion of Daughter’s Day at Buttercup Bunglow in Gomti Nagar. “One can participate in this drive where a mother and her daughter can come and make waffles, for which the materials and accessories will be provided by us at a fixed price. They will also receive a personalised selfieccino with a printed photo of the mother and daughter,” she says.

Treat the cards

Eateries, restaurants, parlours have come out with special menus and events to celebrate the day. Lucknow’s newest entrant, Hazratganj Social, has come up with delicacies to make the day special.

“This is our first special day after opening in Lucknow. Daughter’s Day is a celebration of cherished bonds and we have curated a vibrant chaat menu featuring delicacies like Amchoor and Anaar Paapdi Bhalla, Khasta Methi Chutney Chaat and Kale and Paalak Patta Chaat, capturing the true essence of Lucknow’s street food scene. We also have China Boxes, Loaded Nachos, Baida Roti and Butter Chicken Biryani, apart from local delicacies like Meeng Chapli Kebab and Boti Kebab,” says Divya Aggarwal, Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Pvt Ltd.

Baking with love

Home baker and owner of Eat and Treat by Aashi Rizvi believes that such days make all our relationships sweeter. “When we came up with the idea of Princess Box and put it up on our website, we knew it would be an instant hit. And soon, we started receiving orders for the day. The boxes are economically priced and we can deliver them for a nominal fee. The box will include your daughter’s favourite cakes in jars, handmade chocolates and two heart-shaped donuts. They can also be customised to suit your taste and treat preferences.”
