New York Liberty Ellie mascot inspired by the new Nike Sabrina 2 shoe model

Ellie the Elephant entered the building and took the stage with her signature grace. The New York Liberty mascot showed off her new Nike Sabrina 2 shoes.

In a video shared on Ellie’s official Twitter (formerly Twitter) account, the gorgeous elephant can be seen shooting hoops, walking around Nike HQ, and showing off color and pattern schemes.

The shoes feature a black and white sole, black tongue, green laces, black and green pattern on the sides and a green Nike Swoosh badge.

Over the past year, as the WNBA has attracted more viewers and fans, the team mascots have become just as big celebrities as the players — and Ellie has become arguably the most popular mascot in the league. And our girl is fully aware of her star power, as she wrote on X, “Name a mascot with her own shoe… YOU CAN’T.”

In June of this year, Time Out New York magazine named Ellie the “girl of the summer.” In an “interview” for the publication, Ellie offered some sage fashion advice.

“Be confident whenever you go out! Fashion is like art,” she said. “It’s subjective, so the confidence you exude will always determine how fierce YOU ARE!”
