Riyadh International Book Fair Announces Cultural Program Featuring Prominent Qatari Representatives

The organizing committee of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 presented the cultural program of the fair, which will take place from September 26 to October 5.

The fair, of which Qatar is the guest of honour this year, offers a rich cultural programme in which many of the most outstanding representatives of the world of culture, literature and art, as well as leading national, Arab and international publishing houses, take part.

The Saudi Commission for Literature, Publications and Translation, the organizer of the event, announced that the State of Qatar will be the guest of honor at the current edition of the Book Fair, and that the decision reflects the pioneering role of the State of Qatar in the cultural scene of the Gulf and Arab countries, as well as the depth of its strong cultural and historical ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It was also emphasized that this is a unique window that allows visitors to the exhibition to learn about Qatar’s achievements in various fields of culture, art and literature, meet pioneers of Qatari culture, creativity and art, and familiarize themselves with outstanding literary and cultural publications by Qatari authors, which are presented by many Qatari publishing houses and cultural entities participating in the exhibition this year. The State of Qatar is also participating in the exhibition by preparing a miniature pavilion for children on the subject of the art of Islamic architecture and designing stories for children.
The 2024 Riyadh International Book Fair will feature over 2,000 local, Arab and international publishing houses and agencies from over 30 countries spread across 800 pavilions.
