After months of speculation, Swift finally publicly announced who she will vote for in the upcoming election.

“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to research the issues at stake and where the candidates stand on the issues that matter most to you. As a voter, I try to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”

“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for President in 2024,” she announced. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to stand up for them.”

Kamala Harris Speaks Out on Support for Taylor Swift

A week and a half after publicly lashing out at Harris, the pop star is receiving praise from the current vice president.

Swift is an “incredible artist” and “I really respect the courage she’s had throughout her career to stand up for what she believes is right,” she said in Wired magazine’s “Autocomplete Interview” series, according to Rolling stone.

She then had to criticize her opposing NFL teams, admitting, “We were on opposite sides of the Super Bowl last year.”

The vice president, a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan, was born and raised in the Bay Area, while Taylor Swift has shown support for the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

“But who’s mad at someone for being loyal to their team, right?” Harris added.

Tim Walz Breaks Silence on Support for Taylor Swift

Following the presidential debate between Harris and Donald Trump, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz appeared on MSNBC’s debate coverage where he spoke about Swift’s support for him and Harris.

“I’m incredibly grateful, first and foremost, to Taylor Swift. And I say that as a cat owner — a co-cat owner. That was eloquent and clear,” Walz told host Rachel Maddow, per People Magazine“And that’s exactly the kind of courage we need in America to stand up.”

“We saw it with Republicans who were at the DNC, we saw it with women who would like to keep their personal lives private but are forced to come out because they almost died because they can’t get abortion services while pregnant,” Walz added. “And now you have someone like Taylor Swift coming out and saying it very clearly.”

Donald Trump ‘Hates’ Taylor Swift After She Expresses Support for Kamala Harris

Shortly after Swift expressed support for the opposing party, Trump expressed his “hatred” for the singer.

“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” he wrote.

The post comes after he paid tribute to Brittany Mahomes, a close friend of Swift’s and the wife of Travis’ teammate Patrick Mahomes.

“I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for standing up so strongly and making MAGA the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our failing country,” he wrote at the time. “In the face of completely unchecked crime and illegal immigration, INFLATION destroying all Americans, and a world laughing at the stupidity of our poor ‘leaders,’ it’s nice to see someone who loves our country and wants to save it from DESTRUCTION.”

Taylor Swift Appreciates Donald Trump’s AI Photos

In August, billionaire politician Trump sparked controversy on his social media platform Truth Social by sharing photoshopped photos of Swift and her fans. The altered photos, which misleadingly suggested the pop star supported Trump, sparked outrage among Swifties.

“I recently learned that an AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted on his page. It really raised my concerns about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift wrote on Instagram in the same post endorsing Harris. “It’s led me to the realization that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.”

“The simplest way to fight disinformation is with truth,” Swift added.
