Philadelphia Eagles fans celebrate a thrilling win over the New Orleans Saints

This Philadelphia Eagles win over the New Orleans Saints took fans on a Sunday afternoon full of emotions.

The week three match ended in a much-needed victory for the fans who packed Yards Brewing in Spring Garden.

“Awesome win, man,” said Dave Wilson of Mount Airy. “Go Birds!”

“It was the best defensive game we’ve ever played,” said Delaware County guard Oleg Kariouk.

One of the youngest fans was 10-month-old Leo Bradley, who watched the thrilling match in his Christmas outfit.

“He’s wearing a little fan T-shirt,” said Molly Bradley, Leo’s mother. “He’s got footballs on his pacifier clip.”

Between the cheers and chants, the victory also brought several dangerous situations and injuries.

“I was scared,” said Tameka Wilson of Mount Airy. “My heart was pounding, but I knew we could do it.”

“I think they ultimately turned it around,” said Nick Schumacher of Fishtown.

“I really thought we were going to lose,” Kariouk said.

Throughout it all, one fan kept the energy levels high even at the lowest points by intoning Eagles chants throughout the bar.

“Whenever our team does something good, we celebrate,” Kariouk said. “Whenever they do something bad, according to Philadelphia rules, we boo them.”

Ultimately, the Birds found success, which gave them a huge sense of relief and allowed them to gather both loyal and new fans.

“We knew having a son we would definitely raise an Eagles fan,” Bradley said. “So being able to be here with friends and family is always exciting.”

“I grew up watching this team,” Kariouk said. “I will always love them, no matter what.”
