The retailer is bringing back some of the holiday deals customers have come to expect – inflation-free meals, gift discounts and more – but they’ll be hitting stores and online sooner than ever before.

“We know many of our customers are starting to prepare for the holidays early, and we’ve adjusted our approach to best meet their needs,” said Latriece Watkins, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart US

Christmas Offers Event

As Target and Amazon kick off their October sales, Walmart has also joined in. The retailer will hold its inaugural Holiday Deals sale from October 8-13, giving shoppers almost a full week to stock up on the biggest gifts of the holiday season.

In addition to gifts, Walmart is helping consumers prepare for the holiday party part. From October 14 to December 25, shoppers can grab all the essentials for Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas Eve dinner, or just Sunday dinner for a fraction of the price.

This year’s Thanksgiving dinner will cost consumers less than $7 per person, with nearly 30 different menu items. Consumers can create a meal for up to 10 people at a price without inflation.

Meal baskets are available for in-store pickup or delivery, and consumers can also gift a meal to a friend or family member or donate it to families in need through Walmart’s partnership with The Salvation Army.

While Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals have not yet been announced, retailers are already preparing customers for the holiday season with plenty of time to spare.
