When will new episodes of “The Golden Bachelorette” appear? Day, time, cast, where to watch

It was an eventful first episode of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette, which premiered on Wednesday of last week, with six men returning home in the first rose ceremony.

“Let the journey begin,” says Joan Vassos in her SUV on the way to the Bachelor Mansion welcome marathon. “Bring on the men!”

After meeting with a group of 24 potential suitors, Vassos said goodbye to six of them, including Texas rancher David, 68, who rode to the Bachelor Mansion on horseback. The group is now ready to settle into the mansion and “adjust to the tight quarters,” ABC says.

In the season two episode, Joan and her suitors “take a nostalgic trip back in time to relive their high school prom night, featuring Taylor Dayne, as the guys compete for the title of prom king, proving they still know how to wear a tuxedo and their rhythm is as strong as ever,” ABC describes the upcoming episode.

Joan and “one lucky guy” will then head to Disneyland Resort “for a magical day,” followed by the second annual Golden Talent Showcase, where the men will showcase their talents with guest Loni Love. The winner of the talent show will be invited to a private dinner with Joan.

“At the end of the week, Joan and the men swap their cocktail-party attire for casual barbecue attire, giving her a chance to view her suitors in a more casual light,” ABC reports.

Who is the “Golden Supper”?

Joan Vassos, alum of “The Golden Bachelor,” is the first lead actress on ABC’s first-ever “The Golden Bachelorette.”

Vassos, 61, a private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, was among the favorites to compete on the show after the success of “The Golden Bachelor,” USA TODAY exclusively revealed in February.

Vassos spent a romantic evening with Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner on last year’s show and became a fan favorite after her heartbreaking decision to leave “The Golden Bachelor.” Vassos eliminated herself due to health issues with her daughter that required care in the real world.

During her time on Turner’s season, Vassos spoke passionately about her husband, John, who died of pancreatic cancer after 32 years of marriage. “He was the husband who always made me feel safe and loved,” Vassos wrote on Instagram in January.

New episodes of “The Golden Bachelorette” air on ABC on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET.

ABC has not released a full schedule for Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelorette,” and it is not yet clear how many episodes the season will have. “The Bachelor” franchises typically have between 9 and 13 episodes per season. “The Golden Bachelor” had 9 episodes, followed by a wedding special that aired a little over a month after the finale.

Gil Ramirez will be cut

‘The Golden Bachelorette’ contestant Gil Ramirez will be removed from upcoming episodes of ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ despite receiving a rose after it was revealed a temporary injunction had been issued against the 60-year-old teacher from Mission Viejo, California.

As previously reported by USA TODAY, the California Supreme Court previously issued a temporary restraining order against a 62-year-old woman who had been dating Ramirez for “emotional harassment.”

“Even though I told him not to contact me, he kept coming to my house — repeatedly making unwanted contact with me, family members! and friends,” the woman wrote in her application for the injunction. “25 attempts a day via phone, text, video. Even though (he) lives an hour away — he kept showing up at places I visit to confront me daily.”

However, according to the California Supreme Court records, a temporary stay of execution order was “dismissed” after a July 24 hearing due to “lack of prosecution.”

A person familiar with the situation, who was not authorized to speak publicly, told USA TODAY that ABC and “The Golden Bachelorette” executives only “recently” learned of the legal action against Ramirez.

“This request was made in the short period between the completion of our thorough background investigation and exhaustive vetting process and the start of production,” the person said. “As a result of this newly confirmed information, we have further edited (Ramirez’s screen time) and minimized his presence in future promotional materials.”
