New York Indian Health Advisor Dr Jay Varma Fired Over Drug-Involved Sex Party

Dr. Jay Varma, New York’s former COVID-19 czar, has been fired from his position at SIGA Technologies after his involvement in drug-fueled sex parties during the pandemic was revealed. Dr. Varma’s COVID policies in New York gained national attention when Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving was sidelined for refusing to get vaccinated.

Dr. Varma, who previously served as a senior health adviser under former Mayor Bill de Blasio, allegedly boasted about attending underground raves and hosting parties while the city was under strict lockdowns, revelations that were made public via secretly recorded conversations.

On September 23, SIGA Technologies issued a statement confirming Dr. Varma’s immediate termination, stating, “Pursuant to the terms of his employment agreement, Dr. Varma’s service on the Company’s Board of Directors has also automatically terminated with immediate effect.”

The scandal erupted last week when podcaster Steven Crowder posted clips of candid conversations with Dr. Varma in which he said, “I did all this perverted, sexual stuff” and admitted to going into hiding because of his role in managing the city’s COVID response.

In one recorded conversation, Dr. Varma spoke about organizing a party in August 2020 where attendees took MDMA: “So we rented out a hotel… we all took, you know, molly and there were eight or nine, eight to 10 of us in one room and everyone was having a great time because everyone was so cooped up.”

Dr Varma also recalled attending a rave in June 2021, which was attended by hundreds of people, and when asked if he regretted his actions, he replied, “No, actually, I love being myself.” The source revealed that Dr Varma organized another meet-up in November 2020.

City councilor Inna Vernikov condemned Dr. Varma’s actions, stating, “While grandmothers were dying alone in cold hospital beds, Dr. Varma was fulfilling his sick fantasies with hundreds of sweaty strangers.”

Michael Kane of Teachers for Choice said he was disgusted “to hear Varma say that participating in group sex orgies involving drugs was a necessity for him to be his ‘authentic self’ because COVID had ‘trapped him’”.

Despite the uproar, a source close to Dr Varma came to his defence, saying he “technically did not violate the order” and that his statements had been taken out of context.

Dr. Varma himself issued a statement admitting his actions, saying, “In those private conversations that were secretly recorded, edited, cut and taken out of context, I was referring to events that took place four years ago. I attended two private meetings between April 2020 and May 2021. I take responsibility for not exercising my best judgment at the time.”
