After some drivers and team principals raised concerns about the late nature of the inaugural Vegas schedule, despite the race being re-scheduled for 10pm on Sunday in the UK, the remainder of the weekend schedule remains unconfirmed, suggesting plans for tweaks are in progress. Qualifying, for example, began at midnight local time during the opening event at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

The full schedule for the Sprint’s six events – in China, Miami, Austria, the United States, Brazil and Qatar – also remains subject to confirmation, with F1 stakeholders meeting in the coming weeks to finalize the format of these weekends, which include an additional 100km on Saturday of the Sprint Race .

At the very least, it is expected that the format will be changed so that the Sprint events – the sprint shootout and then the 100km race itself – will be placed first on the weekend schedule before Grand Prix qualifying and then the full race itself Sunday’s race .

European races take place in the UK at 2pm, with the local start at Silverstone on July 7 at 3pm.
