Heidi Klum has been in the modeling and entertainment industry for over 30 years, so it may come as a surprise that Thursday’s Vetements spring 2025 show was her debut in a show on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar.

The “Project Runway” host and “America’s Got Talent” judge wore leather pants, a “Polizei” print crop top and a long black coat by the brand’s creative director Guram Gvasalia. “I felt terrible,” the German model told WWD exclusively about her moment on the runway, adding: “He told me not to smile, which I knew anyway, but I guess he was worried that I would smile… The music was amazing and it gave the show cool, German underground atmosphere.”

Klum was among other famous names including Travis Scott, Gigi Hadid, Maye Musk and Carmen Kass. “I love the fact that there is so much amazing talent on the show,” Klum said of how Gvasalia approached her. “I love that Guram trusted me to be a part of the show and wanted to show that models can be many different faces.”

On September 23, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel also appeared on the L’Oréal Paris Walk Your Worth catwalk in Paris. Although the show is not considered an official part of the fashion week calendar because it takes place off schedule, Klum said it still holds a special place in her heart.

“One of my funniest fashion week memories comes from Monday, when I attended the L’Oréal Paris show. I’m so glad we came together to celebrate the diversity and strength of girls,” she explained. “Also, during the show, we all got roses to throw away at the end. I threw my rose and my husband caught it, so it was special and I will always remember it,” the TV personality continued.

Klum’s modeling career began in 1992 after winning a modeling contract with Metropolitan Models New York. Her resume includes numerous magazine covers, brand campaigns and New York Fashion Week runway appearances for Zac Posen, Escada, Vera Wang and more.
