Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S24 FE

6.7-inch with Exynos 2400e processor

Samsung has officially announced the new Galaxy S24 FE smartphone with a larger 6.7-inch display, larger battery and new Exynos 2400e chipset to cover the entire market.

The new Galaxy S24 FE is designed based on a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a new Vision Booster module. Thanks to this, the new Galaxy S24 FE has dimensions of 162 x 77.3 x 8 mm and weighs 213 g, which makes it taller, wider and only slightly thinner compared to its predecessor. It’s also a bit heavier, but that’s no surprise considering it has a larger battery. As for the battery, Samsung squeezed in a 4,700 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh more compared to its predecessor.

The heart of the Galaxy S24 FE is the Exynos 2400e, and although Samsung did not reveal any specific details about the SoC, it is still a 10-core SoC made in the 4 nm technological process, with a single Cortex-X4 core, 2+3 Cortex-A720 cores, and four efficient Cortex-A520 cores. It still uses the Xclipse 940 GPU, and we suspect the main Cortex-X4 core may be clocked lower than the 3.2GHz on the Galaxy S24. Samsung pairs the SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The camera system consists of three rear cameras, a 50MP primary with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP telephoto with an f/2.4 lens, and one 12MP with a 123-degree ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens. The front camera has a resolution of 10 MP.

The Galaxy S24 FE also comes with all the usual connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 resistance, 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, and runs Android 14 and OneUI 6.1. Samsung also promised seven years of security updates, as well as the new OneUI 7 whenever it arrives.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is now available for pre-order and will ship on October 3. The Galaxy S24 FE is available in blue, graphite, gray, mint and yellow, and its basic 128 GB version costs $649.
