Mayank Yadav receives his maiden call-up as India names their squad for the T20I series in Bangladesh

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, which will begin on October 6 in Gwalior.

Pace sensation Mayank Yadav, who impressed during the last IPL season with Lucknow Super Giants, has received his first call-up to the national squad.

“The men’s selection committee has selected India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming IDFC FIRST Bank T20I series against Bangladesh. After the conclusion of the Test series, India will play three T20Is in Gwalior, New Delhi and Hyderabad,” BCCI said in a statement.

Mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma also return to the squad. However, Sanju Samson is likely to be the first-choice wicketkeeper in the Suryakumar Yadav-led side.

The second and third T20Is will be played on October 9 in New Delhi and October 12 in Hyderabad.
