Fake Teachers: Three Arrested in Samastipur Fake Teacher Recruitment Scandal |

Patna: Two school principals and a middleman were arrested on Saturday for their alleged involvement in student recruitment false teachers in Samastipur. The arrests came after an investigation by a four-person commission formed by: Samastipur DM Yogendra Singh.
Those arrested include principals – Dilip Ram of Purushottampur Primary School and Avinash Kumar Tandon of Navtolia Primary School – and middleman Parvez Alam. The three were arrested at the city police station. According to a police source, there was a serious fraud at Navtolia Primary School.
After the fake recruitment was discovered, several teachers are under scrutiny and 12 are reported to have absconded. Police said fake appointments of teachers were made instead of selected candidates BPSCthrough manipulation during counseling.
The DM said, “Complaints have been received regarding fake encounters in BPSC TRE-2.0. After the list of successful candidates in the BPSC exam was published and their documents were verified, biometric fingerprints were taken from the candidates.
However, education department officials involved in the process fraudulently appointed fake teachers using roll numbers and IDs of selected BPSC teacher candidates who had not joined the service.”
The DM said that a four-member committee was formed on September 7 to conduct an inquiry into the matter. He added that based on the commission’s investigation, the directors and the broker were arrested.
“One Ranjana Kumari of Purushottam Primary School was identified as a fake teacher. Moreover, an investigation is currently underway into the appointment of teachers Nikhat Parveen and Tanuja Kumari in the same school. This appointment scam has been detected for the first time in this school,” he said. official of the Municipal Police Headquarters.
