Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor-Starrer film sees huge decline, Mints 40 cr

(MENAFN – Live Mint) Devara BO Collection Day 2: Despite a significant decline from the first day of release, it grossed a net gross of ₹40 crore in India. The Telugu version of the film grossed the highest grossing ₹29.4 crore.

Starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, Devara: Part 1 is directed by the renowned Koratala Siva. The film marks the comeback of superstar Jr NTR after winning a Golden Globe and an Oscar for RRR.

Devara grossed a whopping ₹82.5 crore in total on its first day of release, which is 51.52% more than its second day earnings.

Devara’s Hindi version was the second highest grosser and recorded a gross of ₹ 9 crore on Saturday, the second day of its release. The Kannada, Tamil and Malyalam versions were not far behind, earning ₹0.35 crore, ₹1 crore and ₹0.25 crore respectively.

Together, both the days grossed a total of ₹122.5 crore.

Devara Film Cast Part 1

The highest cinema occupancy was recorded in Hyderabad with an overall occupancy rate of 80.25%. Night performances had the highest occupancy, with the theaters being 94% full, in the evenings – 87%, and in the afternoons – 78%.

Warangal and Guntur lagged behind with 71.25% and 72.50% respectively.

The two-minute and 39-second trailer showcases a compelling narrative filled with conflict and strategy. Saif Ali Khan plays Bhaira, a kushti (wrestling) champion whose seemingly unassailable world is shaken by Jr NTR’s character.
