Ex-Fiancée Of Lana Del Rey’s Husband ‘In Shock’ After Wedding

The ex-fiancee of Lana Del Rey‘s new husband has weighed in on their relationship, following the singer’s surprise marriage to Jeremy Dufrene earlier this week.

ICYMI, footage of what seemed to be a wedding ceremony between Lana and Jeremy emerged on Friday, seemingly confirming the pair had officially tied the knot just one month after their romance became public.

The nuptials took place in a swamp in Louisiana (it looked much prettier than that sounds), in the same bayou where Jeremy, who is an alligator tour guide, operates his popular boat tours.

We’ve borne witness to some truly surprising entries into the 2024 bingo card, but our chaotic queen Ms. Rey getting hitched to someone who tours croc lands for a living? That might take the mantle even from that time Katy Perry caught strays from The Greens.

In any case, Kelli Welsh — who was engaged to Jeremy for more than a decade before marrying Lana — has now reacted to news of her ex’s nuptials.

Seeing your ex with someone else is bound to sting a little, but if I discovered that my former fiancé was now riding off into the sunset on an alligator tour boat with a major pop girlie, I’d probably find the nearest croc and jump directly into its jaws.

For her part, Kelli seemed as equally surprised by the wedding as the rest of us, telling the Daily Mail that she is “in shock” because her and Jeremy “were engaged for 12 years, and he got married after one month.”

While she admitted to being taken back by the swamp wedding (it’s giving Shrek, only far chicer), Kelli sent her well-wishes to the happy couple, saying it’s clear that Jeremy “truly is in love with (Lana).”

“It’s not fake happy”, she added of the pair’s romance, before describing Jeremy as “a very protective, hardworking, manly man”. Years of pop stars singing about troublesome ex’s hadn’t prepared me for this kind of wholesome support from Kelli, and I’m totally here for it.

“(Jeremy) has always been a giver so to have someone give to him, he deserves it,” Kelli said, “he is deserving of this blessing.” Aw!

Given the sheer chaos that often orbits her (remember her stint as a fast food waitress?), it’s nice to see Lana get the blessing of her man’s ex-fiancee and revelation in wedded bliss. Congrats, girl!
