BNP disbands Dhaka North convening committee

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has dissolved the convening committee of the unit in the northern city of Dhaka, a party press release said today.

“The BNP convening committee in Dhaka, northern city, has been suspended. A new committee will be formed soon,” said a release signed by the party’s senior joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

On July 7, a committee was formed with former Jubo Dal president Saiful Alam Nirob as its chairman and former footballer Aminul Huq as its party secretary.
