Hovertravel launches behind-the-scenes hovercraft tour

Hovertravel has announced a unique opportunity to meet one of its iconic ships in person at its Ryde terminal.

On October 21 at 11:00 a.m., guests will be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour led by one of Hovertravel’s most experienced team members, Mike, who has over two decades of experience in both onboard and ground operations.

The tour begins with a briefing before heading to the hovercraft’s operating area for a close look at the hovercraft inside and out.

Mike, who also oversees operations at Hovertravel’s Ryde Terminal, will share his in-depth knowledge of the hovercraft, ensuring an informative and engaging experience for all.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch a film of the historic hovercraft, take part in a question and answer session, and leave with a special certificate commemorating the day.

Route:

11:00 – Welcome at the terminal and health and safety briefing.

11:10 – The group heads to the hovercraft landing pad.

11:15 – A film of a historic hovercraft played on board.

11:25 – Hovercraft interior explained.

11:35 – Go around the outside of the ship.

11:45 – Question and answer session and distribution of certificates.

12:00 – Return to the terminal.
