Addison Rae is trending on Spotify after releasing her single “Diet Pepsi.”

Addison Rae is having a streaming moment. The singer, who released her debut single “Obsessed” in 2021, is currently enjoying the success of her latest track “Diet Pepsi” – a smoky mid-tempo track that has been gaining popularity since its release last month.

Rae’s global monthly listeners on Spotify increased by more than 450 percent, reaching an all-time high of 8.2 million. Diversity can confirm. It also saw a 1,180% year-over-year increase in global monthly listeners from the August 2023 release of the “AR” EP (637,000 monthly listeners) to today (8.2 million).

Additionally, “Diet Pepsi” is also growing rapidly on Spotify, with global streams increasing by over 200 percent since its August 8 release. During the same period, global DSP plays of Rae’s catalog increased by almost 900 percent. The “Diet Pepsi” promotion is supported by numerous playlists across the Spotify ecosystem, covering contemporary hits, Pop Rising and more.

Rae is currently enjoying the continued success of “Diet Pepsi,” which has been slowly losing popularity over the past month. It recently shot up the Billboard Hot 100, where it currently sits at No. 81, and has become a viral sound on TikTok, where it has been used in over 243,000 videos. On Spotify, it is almost the most streamed song with 56.3 million streams, just seconds behind “Obsessed” (56.6 million).

The singer, who just joined Charli XCX and Troye Sivan on Monday at Madison Square Garden to perform “Diet Pepsi,” released her EP “AR” on August 18, 2023. She also recently performed a duet with Charli XCX and AG Cook on ” Von Dutch Remix.
