Driver killed in Brunswick rollover crash

One person died Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Brunswick, according to police.

Police and fire personnel responded to the crash near the intersection of Pleasant Street and Range Road just after 10:15 pm, Brunswick police Chief Scott Stewart said in a news release Sunday morning.

Stewart said the vehicle appears to have been driving on Range Road before going through the yard of a nearby home and rolling over onto Pleasant Street.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, and first responders’ lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, Stewart said.

Stewart said the driver’s name would be released after their next-of-kin is notified.

One lane of Pleasant Street was temporarily closed for several hours while police investigated, according to the news release.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Brunswick police at 207-725-5521.
