Georgie and Mandy are unsure if they will be able to continue living with her parents in the series premiere of Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.

Georgie and Mandy strike out on their own – sort of. The Young Sheldon TV version Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage Premieres October 17 on CBS. In the first episode, young parents wonder if it’s time to find their own apartment after an argument with their mother, Mandy.

In the premiere series titled Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage, Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) live with their daughter in her parents’ house. But life with Jim (Will Sasso) and Audrey McCallister (Rachel Bay Jones) isn’t always easy. After an argument with Mandy’s mother, the couple begins to reconsider their living situation.

The trailer (on YouTube) gives you an idea of ​​what life is like in the McAllister household. First of all, Audrey is still not convinced about her son-in-law, Georgie. She worries that their daughter CC “might be stupid like her dad.” And when the young parents find a moment to be silly, they discover that they have left the baby monitor in the living room, which their father clumsily informs them about.

Apart from Young Sheldon alums Jordan, Osment, Sasso and Bay Jones, several other familiar faces will appear in the series premiere (titled “The 6:30 to Lubbock”). Guest stars include Zoe Perry, who plays Georgie’s mom, Mary, and Annie Potts, who plays Meemaw.

More “Young Sheldon” cast members are expected to appear in the spinoff.

The series premiere won’t be the only time we’ll see Meemaw and Mary Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage. According to TVLine, the pair will also appear in the series’ Thanksgiving episode, along with Raegan Revord as Georgie’s sister, Missy Cooper. Craig T. Nelson will also return as Meemaw’s boyfriend, Dale Ballard.

One person who apparently didn’t make it to Thanksgiving dinner? Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage). The 14-year-old moved to California to attend CalTech in Young Sheldon series finale. While Armitage has said he’d be open to playing the character in a new series, there’s no word yet on when – or if – that might happen.

Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage Premiere on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will also stream live and on-demand for Paramunt+ for Showtime subscribers and on-demand the next day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers.
