Fans are debating Salma Hayek’s lavender fashion moment as “Mother of the Bride.”

Salma Hayek intrigued fans with her latest styling Frida star wore a long-sleeved lavender lace dress to the Valentino Pavillon des Folies show on September 29.

The tea-length, button-up, belted dress featured rhinestones on the shoulders and wrists, which Hayek paired with rose gold platform heels, strands of pearls connected by a large cream flower, and oversized square black sunglasses. The Paris Fashion Week ensemble was topped with a lavender head scarf.

Fans were quick to question the look on social media, with one user

Others chimed in on the comparisons, claiming that Magic Mike’s Last Dance the star’s outfit screamed “mother of the bride” or looked like something the “First Lady of the Alabama Baptist Church” would wear. One user simply said, “I don’t like it.”

However, several other people said the atmosphere was more about a wealthy aunt than anything else, with one person saying “Spotted rich tía” and another calling her “La patrona” or “the boss” in Spanish.

Hayek wasn’t the only star to opt for lavender at the event, as Elton John she wore the same shade to the fashion show.

The “I’m Still Standing” singer wore a light purple suit with a pink heart-shaped brooch, an earth-toned patterned shirt and lime green sneakers.

Both stars came with their husbands – Hayek François-Henri Pinault and Jan z David Furnish.

Earlier this month, Hayek celebrated the birth of her daughter Valentinabirthday and shares his love for the teenager on Instagram. “He makes me laugh all day long, teaches me many things, motivates me and inspires me in many ways” – the No Blood the actress wrote alongside a carousel of photos and videos with her daughter.
