Episode 1: “Storm Worlds” Premieres Wednesday, October 2 at 9 p.m. on the KPBS TV/PBS app – The weather is getting crazy in the solar system, with world-wide dust storms, liquid methane monsoons, and lightning 10 times stronger than here on Earth. Episode 2: “Strange Worlds” Premieres Wednesday, October 9 at 9 p.m. on the KPBS TV/PBS app – From a dwarf planet that looks like an inflated soccer ball, to a tiny moon with cliffs taller than Mount Everest, to Saturn’s spectacular rings, discover how the effects of gravity create the incredible variety of strange worlds in our solar system.

Episode 3: “Volcano Worlds” Premieres Wednesday, October 16 at 9 p.m. on the KPBS TV/PBS app – Around our solar system, violent eruptions are shaping distant worlds. Discover the explosive forces that helped create some of the most dynamic worlds in our cosmic neighborhood – and what makes volcanoes here on Earth so special.

Episode 4: “Ice Worlds” Premieres Wednesday, October 23 at 9 p.m. on the KPBS TV/PBS app – Ice can be weird in the solar system. Visit strange frozen worlds – from the ultra-hot superion ice of Uranus, to nitrogen ice glaciers on Pluto, to carbon dioxide snow on Mars – and discover what makes ice here on Earth so special.

Episode 5: “Wandering Worlds” Premieres Wednesday, October 30 at 9 p.m. on the KPBS TV/PBS app – From meteorites crashing into Earth, to a moon orbiting behind, to an impostor lurking in the asteroid belt, a variety of strange, wandering worlds are rewriting what we know – and even what we think – about our solar system.
