EDD announces September recipients of job training funds

SANTA FE, NM (KRQE) – Twelve New Mexico companies received job training funding through the September Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP). Officials say the September funds could help up to 177 workers in New Mexico.

Governor appoints new Secretary of Economic Development

According to a news release from the Department of Economic Development, the positions approved in September will have an average wage of $20 to $86 an hour. Eight of the companies awarded the money are returning to continue to increase employment with JTIP, and four are applying for the first time.

The total amount awarded in September is just over $2.4 million. More information about JTIP can be found on the EDD website.
