Ralph Lauren now sells rare vintage clothing and accessories

Ralph Lauren puts its coveted archival pieces at your fingertips.

The American brand has just launched a new vintage program, under which buyers can receive some of the best used clothing accessories from previous years.

Carefully sourced and certified by in-house design and vintage experts, Ralph Lauren Vintage’s curated collections will feature men’s and women’s designs from current and retired brands including Ralph Lauren Western, Ralph Lauren Black Label, Polo Sport and more. New Ralph Lauren Vintage products will be released monthly, and pieces will be available on a dedicated page on the Ralph Lauren website and in selected stores worldwide. Prices for individual pieces will range from $150 to $3,500.

The first proposal is definitely retro, and its style dates back to the 1970s. Highlights include the adorable Polo Ralph Lauren Cricket Sweater ($350) from the Fall 1986 collection and the cozy Polo Ralph Lauren Polo Crest Cardigan ($595) from the Fall 1987 collection. There are also several chic pieces on offer, perfect for any man looking to get back into ’90s fashion, like the 1992 Polo Ralph Lauren Bear Sweater ($1,295), the 1997 Polo Ralph Lauren Light Yellow Sweater ($695), and the Cotton Plaid Jacket Polo Ralph Lauren ($895) from 1994. Other nostalgic gems include the 1993 Polo Sportsman Vest ($495) and the Polo Sportsman Twill Ball Hat ($200).

Ralph Lauren actually began selling vintage items to the public with the launch of RRL in 1993. In 2021, the brand also began offering carefully sourced pre-owned items online, but these were from a variety of brands and not exclusively from Ralph Lauren’s collection. The new program will highlight the best of the Ralph Lauren archive.

Ralph Lauren, considered the most successful American fashion designer of all time, has always drawn inspiration from the past. For over 50 years, his eponymous brand has produced designs rooted in British country elegance and the casual American sporty and Ivy style of yesteryear.
