EastEndersIn the latest episode of the show, Yolande received shocking news about Pastor Clayton.

This week, Yolande was told that a third woman had come forward and made allegations against the pastor, further strengthening the sexual assault case against him.

But later, Pastor Clayton himself barged into Yolande’s house wanting to talk to her, which left Yolande terrified.

In today’s episode, the pastor told Yolande that his wife packed her things and left him because of an earlier conversation.

He was furious with her for destroying his reputation, career and marriage, and insisted that she retract her statement and “repent” in the hope that other women would follow suit.

The pastor tried to make her feel guilty that the community no longer had a religious leader, but a frightened Yolande threatened to call the police.

Meanwhile, Patrick was eager to return from The Vic to meet Yolande, but was persuaded to stay for another drink with Kim and Howie.

The pastor continued to pressure Yolande to retract her testimony, but she laughed in his face and called him delusional.

In an incredibly moving scene, she stood up for herself and told how his sexual assault had affected her, even saying that it would have been better if he had killed her instead.

When the pastor began to look guilty for his actions, Denzel returned home and told him to leave the house.

Patrick, Kim and Howie were shocked when they too returned home and were told what had happened to the pastor, but were comforted that Yolande stood by her statement.

The family spent the evening together, but as everyone was going to bed later, the police visited them.

“We wanted to inform you about this before the matter becomes public knowledge,” the officer said. “Gideon Clayton took his own life tonight.”

How will this shocking news affect Yolande?
