The 2024-25 edition of the Champions League is approaching, with more teams, more matches, and Real Madrid looking to defend their title.

UEFA expanded the tournament to include four additional teams, and the tournament began with a single 36-team league phase. This means 64 more matches, with each club guaranteed to play at least eight matches.

Real Madrid will go into this year’s tournament as defending champions after defeating Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Despite this victory and the addition of Kylian Mbappe to Los Blancos’ squad, 2023 winners Man City are seen as favorites this season. German giants Bayern Munich are also well placed to lift the trophy in May’s final, which will be held at the Bundesliga’s home stadium, the Allianz Arena.

We will present the best ones below live TV streaming services using to watch every match live, wherever you are in the world.

How to watch every 2024-25 UEFA Champions League match online from anywhere with a VPN

If you can’t watch UEFA matches locally, you may need another way to watch matches – which is where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to prevent your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic. This is also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network and want to add an extra layer of privacy to your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you can virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to access the game. Most VPNs, like our Editor’s Choice, ExpressVPN, make this really easy.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sporting events is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, provided you have a legal subscription to the service you’re streaming from. You should make sure your VPN is configured correctly to prevent leaks: even if VPNs are legal, the streaming service can terminate the account of anyone it deems to be bypassing properly applied blackout restrictions.

ExpressVPN is our current top VPN pick for people who want a reliable and secure VPN that works across devices. It usually costs $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100, you’ll get three months free and save 49%. That’s the equivalent of $6.67 per month with the code SPECIAL OFFERwhich should be applied automatically.

Remember that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Quick tips for streaming UEFA Champions League matches with a VPN

  • Taking four variables into account – your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN – your experience and success when streaming Champions League matches may vary.
  • If you don’t see your chosen location as the default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble launching your game after turning on your VPN and setting the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try to fix quickly. First, sign in to your streaming subscription account and make sure the address registered on your account is in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on your account. Secondly, some smart TVs – like Roku – don’t have VPN apps that you can install directly on the device. Instead, you need to install a VPN on the router or mobile hotspot you’re using (e.g. your phone) so that each device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct display location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their homepages on how to quickly install a VPN on your router. In some cases with Smart TV services, after installing a cable sports app, you will be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file with your Smart TV. Having a VPN on your router will also help in this case, as both devices will appear to be in the correct locations.
  • Remember that browsers can often reveal your location despite the use of a VPN, so make sure you use a privacy-first browser to log in to your services. We usually recommend Bold.
