Kerry King Announces 2025 North American Tour

Slayer guitarist Kerry King has announced a 2025 North American tour with his eponymous solo band.

The 28-day expedition begins in San Francisco on January 15 and in Los Angeles on February 22, reaching Toronto, New York, Dallas and Las Vegas along the way. Support will be provided by municipal waste and alien weapons.

Live Nation ticket pre-sales begin on Wednesday (October 2) at 10 a.m. local time using the code RATE. General ticket sales begin Friday (October 4) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

“Getting back on the road for the first time in five years didn’t feel like riding a bike, that’s for sure,” King said in a press release. “I’ve never had so much free time, but the first tours with my new band – in the UK and Europe, then in America with Lamb of God and Mastodon – were a total disaster. We will be the headliner of the next tour, so we will play a longer set than with Lamb of God and Mastodon. We still have some learning to do, so we’ll start rehearsals in the first week of November. We could add an extra Slayer song to the set and learn a cover or two.”

The tour announcement follows the cancellation of Slayer’s appearance last weekend at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. The entire Friday schedule, including Slayer’s long-awaited performance – which would have been their second show after Riot Fest – was upended by Hurricane Helene.

Meanwhile, King also released a music video for “Where I Reign” from his solo debut I rise from hell. The black-and-white clip was directed by Jim Lauvau, who said he wanted to “capture the fury and energy of the band live.”
