Tupac Shakur reportedly only saw Diddy as a “corny executive”

Behind the façade of a loud, talented, award-winning musician beloved by fans, Sean “Diddy” Combs hid a dangerous truth for decades. That facade cracked wide open when CNN released damning video footage of his erratic and aggressive behavior for all the world to see. In it, Combs could be seen kicking, stomping and attacking his then-girlfriend in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.

The numerous allegations, scandals and controversies that have dogged the musician in the past have now come to a head. After putting out fires and patching holes in the hull of sinking ships that has been his career, Combs finally faces the demons that catch up with him after a lifetime of running.

P. Diddy treated Tupac Shakur badly

In the world of rappers, musicians and artists, creativity is the lifeline that leads them to greatness. However, Sean Combs found his calling in record label production, discovering and giving a platform to artists such as Mary J. Blige and Notorious BIG aka Biggie.

However, something about his behavior confused the late legend Tupac Shakur. Despite trying to build a friendship with 2Pac in hopes of gaining credibility in the music scene, Shakur failed to come to terms with the label boss’s personality. Monique Bunn, a photographer close to the musicians’ community, said: “Pac had no respect for Puff.” and that in his eyes, Combs was simply a “corny executive.”

Meanwhile, Diddy’s dislike for Shakur grew when the first (unsuccessful) attempt on his life in 1994 sparked a malicious rumor that Diddy ordered the hit on the beloved rapper. In 1995, the Combs label was released Who shot you? which was perceived as an open provocation towards Shakur, who responded Hit them.

In recent years, a similar pattern of inflammatory behavior could be seen in Diddy’s actions, when the singer openly pined for his ex-girlfriend (Cassandra Ventura), congratulated her on her first pregnancy, and looked through the camera at the BET Awards to thank her for holding him on earth in “dark times.”

Ventura later sued Diddy, accusing him of a decade-long pattern of rape, control and “brutal beatings” since she was 19, as well as soliciting sexual acts that often caused her to “cut herself off”:For Ms. Ventura, the “dark times” were those she spent trapped by Mr. Combs in a cycle of abuse, violence and drug dealing.”

Ventura’s close friend, Grammy-winning songwriter Tiffany Red, claimed that the BET speech was Diddy’s way of publicly mocking her – “It’s like harassment. You’re still teasing her – leave her alone. Leave her the hell alone.

Sean “Diddy” Combs and his questionable ethics

The legend of music and rap, Tupac Shakur, passed away in the blink of an eye, the world was paralyzed in shock, and fans did not want to get over the tragedy. The alleged animosity between Diddy and Tupac Shakur, which had already reached a boiling point, exploded when opposing studio executives accused Combs of murdering 25-year-old Pac on September 13, 1996, in a drive-by shooting.

This claim was later corroborated by the shooter – Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis – who, in an individual statement filed under separate circumstances, stated that Diddy offered him $1 million to hit Shakur. Six months after Shakur’s death, Notorious B.I.G. (who was rumored to be trying to leave Diddy’s label and regain publishing rights) was murdered in a similar manner in a drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of March 9, 1997.

Unfortunately for Diddy, his volatile personality and hunger for success pushed him towards becoming the number one record seller. Diddy openly admitted that Biggie’s death was big business, which contributed to the fame and success of his posthumous album Life after death. Even hip-hop’s “bogeyman” (currently serving a 28-year sentence for manslaughter) said Diddy’s actions were, to put it mildly, disgusting: “When Pac left, I didn’t pick up the mic… I picked up the pieces.”
