The outbreak at Little House on the Prairie fired an event planner who continued to promote canceled events for fans

It’s a mess that can’t be blamed on Nellie Oleson.

Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle and Alison Arngrim are among nearly 20 Little House on the Prairie stars who have accused the recently fired fan meeting organizer of the beloved TV series of “taking advantage” of people by continuing to promote canceled events.

On September 6, following what were described as “poorly organized and executed events” in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Little House on the Prairie the cast stated on social media – and in a letter sent to promoter Jack Bishop – that they will “no longer support, promote or appear at” events organized by Bishop and his company Gravel Road Markets.

The cast list instructed Bishop to “remove our names and likenesses from sales and marketing materials supporting any upcoming films Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary Events Produced or Promoted by Gravel Road Markets, LLC.” (Little House celebrated the 50th anniversary of the September 11 premiere.)

Friendly Family Productions solved the Bishop’s case Little House on the Prairie license for the event in early September and learned that last weekend “many fans traveled to Keystone, SD to attend an event that Jack Bishop should have announced weeks ago as canceled Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary Event.”

A similar mischaracterization affected fans in Lyles, Tennessee over the weekend of September 13-15, and although Friendly Family Productions says Bishop has reportedly not announced cancellations of other upcoming Little House events (in Branson, Missouri and Corsicana, Texas) neither of these events are currently listed on the Gravel Road Markets website.

Similarly, while Eventbrite reportedly had tickets for the upcoming Gravel Road Markets event Little House events marked as “Sold Out” are now correctly marked as “Cancelled”.

Friendly Family Productions encourages you Little House event ticket holders to seek clarification from Eventbrite regarding the status of their purchased tickets for canceled events and to “continue to request refunds from both Eventbrite and their credit card issuers” as reasonably required.

TVLine has reached out to Gravel Road Markets and Eventbrite for comment.
